Collaboration with Educational Institutions
●Collaboration Menu with Local Elementary School
We were approached by Higashiichigao Elementary School in Kanagawa Prefecture, where third-grade students created a menu that was commercialized and sold as a limited-time offering.
Drawing from what they learned in their Japanese language class, "Transforming Soybeans," the students came up with six menu ideas themed around "soybeans." They presented their concepts to OOTOYA employees, and three of the menus were selected. From April 26, 2024, for two weeks, these dishes were exclusively available at the OOTOYA emoto Ichigao store.
The collaboration menu was extremely well-received, with all three dishes surpassing their sales targets. Additionally, during the sales period, the store set a new record for the highest number of customers in a single day over the past two years.-

In 2021, ATOM, a Group company, signed an industry promotion collaboration agreement with Fukui Prefecture, where it was originally founded.
As part of this initiative, the company dispatched senior executives as lecturers to the International Regional Studies Department of the National University Corporation, University of Fukui, to give lectures on business management and accounting applications. Additionally, online classes themed "Fukui's Industry" were conducted for approximately 1,600 students across 11 Fukui prefectural high schools. The Group remains committed to contributing to the region through education and human resource development. -

●Workplace Experience & Company Visits
Kappa Create, another Group company, organizes a conveyor belt sushi workshop for elementary school students during summer vacation. This workshop aims to provide an enjoyable learning experience about sushi while fostering an appreciation for food. On the day of the event, professional sushi chefs teach children how to prepare fish and make sushi, offering a unique hands-on workplace experience.
Additionally, Kappa Create hosts company visits for middle school students, allowing them to interact with working professionals, learn about different career paths, and acquire social etiquette and workplace behavior. In 2023, during a company visit, students visited the COLOWIDE MD Research Institute's test kitchen, where they observed sushi ingredient preparation under the supervision of product development staff and experienced sushi-making robots in action. Through real-world job experiences and company visits, the Group continues to support young people in expanding their future potential.
