Strengthening R&D functions

The COLOWIDE MD R&D Center devel- ops menus based on group-purchased food materials, reducing costs and improving customer value.

Procurement of Sustainable Foods

In the sushi business, we are working to addland-based farmed fish to our menus in line with our procurement plans. We are also bolstering our collaboration with our investment partner, the agricultural corporation Vegefru Farm Co., Ltd., so that we may, among other initiatives, introduce functional vegetables.

Global Restaurant Operation

The COLOWIDE Group is expanding the number of “Gyu-Kaku and its derivative formats” and “OOTOYA” locations, as well as “Kappa Sushi,” in North America and Asian countries. Furthermore, in the Middle East—a region we are targeting for growth—we launched “GYU BOSS,” a newly developed food court format, in November 2024, and we opened the first Gyu-Kaku yakiniku restaurant in the Middle East in March 2026. Furthermore, effective June 2025, Seagrass Holdco Pty Ltd.—Oceania’s No. 1 steakhouse chain, known for its high-quality products and sophisticated dining spaces and service—has joined the Group. We will provide strong support for new store openings in Asian countries and the Middle East, where the Group possesses the necessary expertise, while also advancing initiatives aimed at strengthening future distribution revenues through the establishment of a supply chain for Australian beef.
