I. Purpose of this Policy

This policy defines the attitude and behavior that all employees of COLOWIDE Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the “COLOWIDE Group”) should observe when using social media in order to build sound communication with society and customers.

II. Definition of Social Media

Social media is an information transmission platform where a large number of unspecified users transmit information or mutually exchange information, and includes various social networking services such as Facebook, X, Instagram, blogs, electronic bulletin boards, etc.

III. Guidelines regarding the use of social media

Regardless of the organization to which one belongs or the form of employment, the COLOWIDE Group will comply with the following items when transmitting information via social media, and will aim to communicate with society and customers to build sound relationships.

(1) Always be aware that information transmitted via social media can be accessed by an unspecified number of customers, and that once written or uploaded, the information or data can spread throughout the world, and that any mistakes or errors cannot be completely deleted and cannot be controlled by the individual.

(2) We recognize that there are people with various opinions and ideas, and we are aware of our responsibility to listen to the opinions and statements of others.

(3) We are fully aware that information transmitted by an individual may be an evaluation of the COLOWIDE Group's brands, and we will not mislead people into thinking that information transmitted by an individual is information transmitted on behalf of the brands.

(4) The following types of information shall not be transmitted

  • (i) Information that contains personal information or privacy-related content
  • (ii) Information that discriminates or encourages discrimination on the basis of race, ideology, creed, etc.
  • (iii) Information that offends public order and morals
  • (iv) Information that contains illegal or obscene content
  • (v) Information related to political, election, or religious activities
  • (vi) Information that is libelous, defamatory, or injurious to reputation or credibility
  • (vii) Information that infringes on copyrights, portrait rights, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights
  • (viii) Confidential information, know-how, or other confidential information of the COLOWIDE Group

If any information violating any of the above items (i) through (viii) is sent out, we will acknowledge the error and promptly correct it.

IV. Statements made on social media

Information that the COLOWIDE Group transmits on social media does not necessarily represent the official announcements or views of the COLOWIDE Group. For official announcements and views, please refer to the websites and corporate information of each company in the COLOWIDE Group.

V. Communication through social media and response to inquiries

Please be aware that the method of interaction with customers, response times, and other operating policies differ depending on the account. We will read all comments and questions we receive to the best of our ability and use them for future reference. Please note that we are not able to respond to all comments.

If your inquiry is urgent or requires a response, please contact us by phone or via our contact form.
Please note that even if you contact us via social media, we may refer you to the Customer Service Center of each company in the COLOWIDE Group if we deem that more detailed communication is necessary.

VI. Deletion of Postings

In order to operate a healthy community, we may delete comments or restrict the use of the account without prior notice if any of the following applies or is likely to apply. In such cases, no notice will be given to the affected individuals.

  • (i) Information related to personal information or privacy, or content that includes such information
  • (ii) Contents that infringe on the rights or interests of the COLOWIDE Group, other users, or third parties
  • (iii) Contents that solicit investments, donations, funding, or the purchase of goods or services
  • (iv) Information obtained through official social media accounts that is diverted for commercial purposes
  • (v) Content that transmits harmful programs or files, such as viruses that interfere with the normal functioning of computer software or hardware to third parties
  • (vi) Content that discriminates or encourages discrimination based on race, gender, ideology, creed, etc.
  • (vii) Content that offends public order and morals
  • (viii) Information that contains illegal contents or obscene expressions
  • (ix) Contents related to political activities, election activities, or religious activities
  • (x) Contents that slander, defame, or injure the honor or credibility of others
  • (xi) Content that infringes on copyrights, portrait rights, trademark rights, or other intellectual property rights.
  • (xii) Content that deviates significantly from the content of the official accounts of the COLOWIDE Group
  • (xiii) Other content deemed inappropriate by the administrator of the COLOWIDE Group's official social media accounts.
