    Franchise business

    In 2012, Reins International Inc. merged with COLOWIDE, adding over 1,000 franchise locations. Until that point the Group had primarily operated directly managed restaurants.
    This new addition was able to create significant synergies by utilizing the merchandising capabilities of its fellow subsidiary Company, COLOWIDE MD Co., Ltd.
    By leveraging its experience in the franchise industry, the company also promotes "FRESHNESS BURGER" to existing franchisees, enabling them to expand their business portfolios.

    Global Restaurant Operation

    Japanese BBQ, or yakiniku, is a widely popular food culture enjoyed casually in Japan. With Japanese food becoming increasingly popular overseas, Yakiniku has become one of the most popular Japanese foods, alongside sushi and ramen.
    Over the years, REINS INTERNATIONAL Inc. has expanded its presence overseas currently manages a network of 283 restaurants ("Gyu-Kaku", "Shabu Shabu On-Yasai" and "Kappa Sushi") in North America, East Asia and ASEAN.

    Business Discription

    Manages Restaurants and Izakaya Stores in Suburban Areas

    Atom Corporation operates franchised and directly managed restaurants and Izakaya in suburban areas of Japan (Chūbu, Tōhoku, and North Kantō).
    The first authentic Japanese sushi restaurant opened in Fukui in 1972, later developing into a conveyor belt chain called “Atom Boy”.
    In 2009, Atom Corporation, acquired by COLOWIDE in 2005, merged with Zict. Inc., which managed Karaoke establishments and the Steak Restaurant "Steak Miya".
    Atom Corporation currently operates various brands, including "Steak Miya" and "Nigiri no Tokube".

    Merchandising

    Colowide is able to provide its customers with products at appropriate prices through its unique merchandising strategy. In order to achieve this, group synergies are created and product value is created tailored to each brand and their menus.
    Colowide MD plays a significant role in the merchandising function of our group. Merchandising functions include product planning and research, raw material production and procurement, manufacturing and logistics.
    In order to improve our customers' experiences and maximize group profits, we will continue to decrease prices through internal production and maintain high levels of security and safety.

    Central Kitchens

    The factories set up and operated by Colowide MD across Japan serve as Central Kitchens ("CK") for the entire group, significantly reducing daily operations at our restaurants. In addition, product development functions are unified and can be tailored to meet the needs of each brand.
    Our operational concept has received high accolades and Colowide MD was awarded the "Minister's Award" of the "17th Excellent Food Service Industry Award" facilitated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishes.

    As a policy, the brand aims to maintain the same taste in overseas markets by exporting as many of its key ingredients as possible and emphasizing in-store cooking.

    Business Description

    Re-branding Kappa Sushi

    After joining the COLOWIDE Group through M&A in December 2014, Kappa Create rebranded its conveyor-belt sushi chain, "Kappa Sushi". To regain its leadership position, it improved its profit structure, changed its logo, and optimized its marketing strategy.
    With its existing locations, the company has converted the conveyor belt sushi operation (sushi-go-round) into an entirely order-based operation with dedicated delivery lanes.
    In addition, "I'm loving Kappa Sushi lately" - Kappa Sushi strives to pursue deliciousness in order to hear more words like these from our customers.
    Kappa Sushi will continue to provide its customers with a memorable dining experience.
